Sports Research Plant-Based Omega-3 (Vegan DHA/EPA)
by Sports Research
"500mg DHA + 250mg EPA from algae — the vegan omega-3 that provides the same DHA/EPA as fish oil without the fish"
Overview
Sports Research Plant-Based Omega-3 provides 500mg DHA and 250mg EPA per 2-softgel serving from microalgae (Schizochytrium sp.), the same source that fish get their omega-3s from. This eliminates the middleman (fish) and provides a sustainable, vegan, and contaminant-free omega-3 source. Algae-derived omega-3 is the only plant source that provides preformed DHA and EPA — flaxseed and chia only provide ALA, which converts to DHA/EPA at less than 5% efficiency. The veggie softgels use carrageenan-free tapioca starch.
